Your itinerary
Day 1
Melbourne
The tour starts at Melbourne Airport from where you will be transferred to your first accommodation of the tour: the Park Hyatt Melbourne Hotel. Get to know your fellow tour participants over lunch, meet your Porsche Travel Experiece guide and look ahead to the next few exciting days with a detailed customer briefing. Afterwards, get to know the city of Melbourne with a guided tour. Discover highlights such as Eureka Tower, the famous Melbourne laneways, the Royal and Block Arcades and St Kilda Beach, as well as Port Phillip Bay. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon, or feel free to discover the city on your own until dinner time. You will be dining in the hotel restaurant and enjoying local specialties.

Day 2
Melbourne – Geelong – Bellarine – Torquay
Get behind the wheel of your Porsche and start your discovery tour of Down Under. First destination: Geelong, with a stop off at You Yangs Regional Park for a breath-taking view over Melbourne, Geelong and Port Phillip Bay. The route takes you through Geelong onto the famous wine-growing Bellarine Peninsula, where lunch will be served on a wine estate. Make your way towards today’s final destination: the small town of Torquay – a real surfer’s paradise – passing unspoilt coastlines and historic fishing villages. Get to know the Aboriginal culture at the Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre and of course, there will still be time for a coffee break and a walk to discover the beautiful gardens and gallery. In the late afternoon you will arrive at the RACV Torquay Resort, followed by a group dinner to complete this unforgettable day.

Day 3
Torquay – Lorne – Apollo Bay
The day gets off to an exhilarating start: with a challenging drive along the spectacular cliffs of the world famous Great Ocean Road towards Apollo Bay. First stop: the famous sign "Great Ocean Road" at Memorial Arch which marks the official beginning of this spectacular road. Pass some of the Great Ocean Road´s most famous towns and lookouts. Enjoy lunch en route. The next two nights will be spent at Chris´s Beacon Point, where you can enjoy breath-taking views from the mountains to the coastline of Apollo Bay. For dinner, a Mediterranean gourmet menu will be served at Chris´s restaurant.

Day 4
Apollo Bay – Twelve Apostles – Apollo Bay
Discover another astonishing part of the Great Ocean Road. The first part of the drive will lead you to the most visited attraction in Australia – the Twelve Apostles! This collection of limestone stacks off the shore of the Port Campbell National Park is known for its incredible beauty. Highlight of the day? Enjoying the breath-taking scenery during a helicopter flight. Relax afterwards over lunch at Port Campbell, before continuing on the Great Ocean Road before it’s time to return to Chris’s at Beacon Point. Dinner will be at Apollo Bay this evening.

Day 5
Apollo Bay – Lorne – Melbourne
Through the curvy Hinterland you will leave Apollo Bay and drive to your first stop - the Otway Fly Treetop Adventures. Experience the famous Tree Top Walk, the longest and highest in the world: 600m long and 30m high. Enjoy lunch en route. Follow the Great Ocean Road and drive through the coastal community of Lorne before heading back to Melbourne. At the Melbourne Harbor, you will have to say goodbye to your Porsche for two days while your car is shipped to Tasmania. You will now change vehicle – from your Porsche to a helicopter! After a short flight over the Mornington Peninsula you will reach your destination for the next two nights – the Jackalope Hotel Mornington Peninsula. This stunning hotel opened recently and has already won multiple awards. The day will end with a relaxed dinner at the distinguished Jackalope Hotel Restaurant Doot Doot Doot.

Day 6
Mornington Peninsula
Spend the morning at the beautiful Jackalope Hotel – take advantage of the wealth of opportunities to explore or simply relax. Meet again for lunch and leave for a famous wine estate where some of the best Australian wines are produced. Here you will have the chance to sample local delicacies and wines. On a tour through the vineyard estate, you will discover the secrets of wine production. In the afternoon, return to the Jackalope Hotel where you will spend the evening and enjoy local gourmet specialties for dinner at the hotel restaurant Rare Hare.

Day 7
Melbourne – Launceston
Today, we take to the skies again. After a transfer to Melbourne Airport you will fly to a place that is shrouded in legend – Tasmania. After arrival in Tasmania, check in to the newly opened Peppers Silo Hotel where lunch will be served. Then it’s finally time to get back behind the wheel: your Porsche is already waiting to discover the most beautiful corners – and of course bends – of Tasmania. The route takes you north-east of Launceston. You will reach your hotel in the late afternoon, where you can have some time to yourself. How about a good walk to enjoy the stupendous scenery until it’s time for dinner in an exquisite award-winning restaurant? Having sampled some of the regional specialties, you’ll be heading back to Peppers Silo Hotel.

Day 8
Launceston – Freycinet
Leave Launceston behind and set off south-east to the beautiful region of Freycinet. Your destination: Saffire Freycinet Luxury Boutique Lodge. On the way there, you will have plenty of opportunities to really put the performance of your Porsche to the test. The main highlight? Driving on sections of the Targa Tasmania Rally. Tonight, you will stay at one of the best hotels in Tasmania. Before the sun goes down, enjoy a relaxed champagne sunset cruise on the hotel’s own Saffire Boat – followed by dinner in the exclusive Saffire restaurant. The luxurious Saffire Freycinet Boutique Lodge will be your home for the next two nights.

Day 9
Freycinet
The morning begins with ultimate driving enjoyment – on more sections of the Targa Tasmania Rally. Here you can enjoy the diverse landscape and the challenging roads behind the wheel of your Porsche. On your return to the Saffire Freycinet, a first-class lunch awaits you at the hotel restaurant. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to explore the region on your own. How about the Winery Tour, the Tasmanian Devil Experience, a hike in the bush, a walk on the beach, canoeing, or a visit to the Freycinet Marine Oyster Farm? On your return to the hotel, an excellent dinner will be served at the Saffire restaurant.

Day 10
Freycinet – Hobart
Drive south to Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania. Here, driving on straight roads as well as plenty of bends, you will again have the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Tasmania – as well as the performance and rich sound of your Porsche. The next destination, and your accommodation for tonight, is the brand new MACq 01 Hotel located on the historic Ocean Pier - a great location to explore the city of Hobart. From there, travel to the MONA Ferry Terminal in Hobart, before taking the ferry to the Museum of Old and New Art, in the wine region of Moorilla and on the Berriedale Peninsula in Hobart. You will have plenty of time to explore the largest privately financed museum in Australia and its surroundings. In the late afternoon, you will be offered an aperitif followed by dinner on the Moorilla estate. Afterwards, return to your beautiful hotel for the night.

Day 11
Hobart – Cambridge – Hobart
Today’s route takes you north. Drive along a few more sections of the Targa Tasmania Rally before finally taking the road to Cambridge, where you will have lunch at the award-winning Frogmore Creek Restaurant. Afterwards, continue your drive south, past beautiful coastal landscapes, which seem tailor-made for you and your Porsche. In Hobart, it’s time to hand your Porsche back, reassured by the knowledge that you have so many great memories of it to take home with you. Later on, dine at the MACq 01 Restaurant.

Day 12
Hobart – Melbourne
Stay in bed a bit longer. Relax. Reflect on the tour, all the different impressions and your experiences. Today you have the time to do so. You still have time to explore after breakfast. Discover Battery Point and Salamanca Place, or take a walk along the water. Over a farewell lunch at the MACq 01 Harbor Side Restaurant, discuss the experiences of the last few impressive days with fellow travellers. It´s then time to go to Hobart Airport from where you fly back to Melbourne. When you arrive in the early evening there will be a transfer to take you to the Park Hyatt Melbourne Hotel. Enjoy your farewell dinner in Melbourne at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal before continuing your journey or returning home the next day.

Day 13
Melbourne
Today your Porsche Travel Experience Australia/Tasmania comes to an end. After breakfast, you will say goodbye to your fellow travellers and to your tour guide. The transfer to Melbourne Airport will depend on your flight times, or you might decide to stay on a little longer in the city. Whichever you choose, when you leave Australia, you will be taking some unique memories with you.
