Your itinerary

Day 1
Athens

Your tour starts in Athens – the heart of Ancient Greece. You will be greeted at the airport and taken to the luxurious Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens. Situated on a small peninsula, it provides ample opportunity to explore hidden bays, golden sandy beaches and the historic city centre. The next few hours are free to spend as you please. In the evening, sip an aperitif as you take in the stunning views before dinner in the hotel restaurant. A truly elegant way to start your Greek tour.

Did you know...? In Greece, the sun shines for 300 days of the year... ideal conditions for an unforgettable journey and pure motoring enjoyment.

Day 2
Athens – Bralos – Karditsa

The next day kicks off in dynamic style as the route takes you towards Piges Krias. Stop off for lunch in a traditional taverna in Bralos. This is followed by several thrilling sections behind the wheel – through the heartland and along winding mountain roads to Lake Plastiras in the Agrafa mountains. Your destination for the night: Kazarma Lake Resort & Spa. Round off the day relaxing over dinner with the group in the hotel.

Did you know...? The unspoilt region around the Agrafa mountains is also known as Little Switzerland. After your first day’s driving here, you’ll certainly know why.

Day 3
Karditsa – Kalambaka – Ioannina

We love a challenge. That’s why today’s leg of the tour takes you to new heights – and one thing is certain: the day promises a number of fascinating perspectives. Our first stop is the ‘floating’ monasteries of Meteora. St. Stephen’s Monastery (Agíos Stephános) offers not only a unique atmosphere, but also spectacular views. The venue for today’s lunch: the Meteoron Panorama Restaurant. You’ll soon discover where the restaurant gets its name from. The journey continues along winding mountain roads and through impressive countryside to Metsovo where you can taste a variety of cheeses at a traditional cheese dairy. After further numerous twists and turns, you reach the town of Ioannina and your accommodation for the night – the Hotel Du Lac Congress Center & Spa. This eventful day draws to a close over dinner with the group.

Did you know...? Greece has a total of 18 UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites. The Monasteries of Meteora are just one of these.

Day 4
Ioannina – Makinia – Kyllini

Today, we leave Ioannina behind and head south. The route takes you along the shores of Lake Amvrakia to the Maistrali Fish Tavern in Amfilochia. After lunch, you set off for the famous Rio-Antirrio Bridge. The route then follows the meandering roads through the back country to the west coast of the Peloponnese and today’s final destination: the beachfront Grecotel Mandola Rosa, which offers the highest levels of luxury.

Did you know...? At 2,880 metres long, the Rio-Antirrio Bridge is the second-longest cable-stayed bridge in the world.

Day 5
Kyllini – Katakolo – Romanos

Join us on a very special journey back in time. A private guided tour through the historical site of Olympia takes you on the trail of ancient monuments, archaeological excavations and, last but not least, impressive stories. Afterwards, enjoy the sea views over lunch at the Filia restaurant in Katakolo. The onward journey comprises a variety of different sections of road – along the azure coastline and through the secluded hinterland to the unspoilt Costa Navarino region. Your destination for the next two nights: the luxurious setting of The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino. Upon arrival, you are free to spend the time as you please before dinner with the group at the beachfront Barbouni restaurant.

Did you know...? The archaeological site of Olympia is the birthplace of the modern-day Olympic Games and a sanctuary of Zeus.

Day 6
Romanos

After breakfast, you have some time to enjoy the facilities at the hotel to the full. Alternatively, you can accompany us on a half-day tour of the surrounding area. In the evening, we take you to Pelos, a small Greek house where a very special evening of entertainment awaits – in true Greek style, of course. We don’t want to give too much away at this stage.

Did you know...? When the Greeks celebrate, it’s never long before someone starts dancing. It’s known here as: Sirtaki. And it is not without good reason that this traditional style of dance is seen as an integral part of Greek culture.

Day 7
Romanos – Nafplio – Athens

The final day behind the wheel is focused on pure driving pleasure. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before setting off across the Peleponnes region to Mystras. Thrilling mountain roads, tight bends and the roar of engines. Time to break for lunch – at the Arapakos seafood taverna. We then head for the legendary Corinth Canal. After an exhilarating day in the driver’s seat, you return in the late afternoon to the hotel where you spent your first night of the tour – the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens. Round off your final evening here in style with an exclusive dinner.

Did you know...? Covering a distance of 6.3 km, the Corinth Canal separates the Peloponnese peninsula from the Greek mainland. Its construction took approximately 12 years.

Day 8
Athens

Your Porsche Travel Experience Greece is now drawing to a close. After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell with your transfer to Athens airport for individual departure. Alternatively, you can arrange to extend your stay in Athens. Whatever your plans, we’re certain you’ll leave Greece with a wealth of memories that you will cherish for many years to come.
