Your itinerary

Day 1
Nice – Cannes

Nice Airport is renowned for a unique service: the comfortable onward journey by helicopter. This fast and exclusive means of escaping the traffic is also a great way to get into Cannes. The 5-star-hotel Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic on the popular Boulevard de la Croisette is just as luxurious and offers you spectacular views over the entire bay. The perfect setting for a wonderful evening and a relaxing night.

Did you know...? The Côte d'Azur, or ‘blue coast’, was very popular among artists in the nineteenth century. The expansive countryside, the light, and not least of all the lifestyle there inspired many great minds and painters such as Paul Cézanne.

Day 2
Cannes – St. Tropez

Nothing, not even a helicopter flight, compares to the feeling of driving a Porsche. And today is the day you get to savour this feeling as the journey continues just a few inches above the asphalt along the azure coast to St. Tropez. Since the 1960s, there have been more yachts than fishing boats moored in the harbour of the legendary hub of the jet set community. Of course, you simply must take a stroll along the promenade with its luxurious boutiques up to the Baie de Pampelonne, the largest sandy beach on the French Riviera. If this already feels like paradise, wait until you see the Hôtel Villa Belrose. Nestled in a private and exclusive residential area on a hill in Gassin, it will mesmerise you with its unique atmosphere.

Did you know...? The Citadel of St. Tropez, built in 1602 to protect the town from the Ottoman Empire, is now home to a museum offering detailed background information on the region’s maritime, shipping and fishing history.

Day 3
St. Tropez – Lorgues – Tourrettes

When you explore the hinterland of the French Riviera, you will soon ask yourself why so many people only visit the coast. Especially as taking route nationale 562 through gently rolling vineyards, past Lorgues and on to Tourrettes, also has many culinary delights in store – and an audience with the ‘truffle pope’. At his restaurant Chez Bruno, the owner himself treats his guests to the most precious ingredients the South of France has to offer. The 5-star golf resort Terre Blanche Hôtel extends over 300 hectares in the area. The suites and villas, measuring at least 60 square metres, are located exclusively in detached country houses perched on the hillside and offer exceptional views of the surrounding medieval villages. If there ever was a good reason to park your Porsche, this is it.

Did you know...? Route nationale 562 is one of France’s most thrilling routes with countless bends and inclines. You could almost believe that it was created especially for the Porsche Travel Experience.

Day 4
Tourrettes – Moustiers Sainte-Marie – Tourrettes

Yet another extraordinary route leads from Tourrettes to Moustiers Sainte-Marie. The picturesque village with a population of just 700 located to the north of the Lac de Sainte-Croix reservoir is rightly regarded as one of the most picturesque mountain villages in France. After lunch with typical French flair, your journey continues on through Provence, past the ‘Grand Canyon du Verdon’, one of the largest gorges in Europe. The return to Terre Blanche Hôtel also offers magnificent views and a feeling of the pure luxury of driving in this majestic setting.

Did you know...? The Verdon Gorge is a breathtaking natural landmark. The water has dug its way into the mountain massif over thousands of years and now meanders through the 700-metre-deep gorge in the form of a turquoise river.

Day 5
Tourrettes – Gourdon – Vence

Another gem and one the ‘plus beaux villages de France’ is Gourdon. The romantic village offers fabulous views of the surrounding lavender fields from the comfort of your Porsche. Less than 30 dynamic kilometres further on, one of Provence’s most famous destinations perches majestically on top of a cliff: Vence. Despite its popularity, it has retained the charm of an untouched pre-Alpine town. Perhaps the most historic place in Vence is Château Saint-Martin & Spa – situated in a former fortress of the Knights Templar. If you can tear your eyes away from the unique views of the coast, you should cast a glimpse at the wine cellar. Sampling the wine, you will probably realise from the very first glass that the South of France is meant to be discovered with the palate.

Did you know...? The historic old town of Vence is a truly enchanting place for a long walk – and not just because of its beautiful buildings. The Place du Frene features a huge ash tree planted in 1538. So, it can be surmised that famous former inhabitants of the town, such as Chagall, Matisse and Dubuffet, once rested in the shade of this tree. And no doubt revelled in the fantastic views of the Mediterranean Sea across Antibes and Cagnes-sur-Mer.

Day 6
Vence – L’Escaréne – Cannes

Today, it is off to the Monte Carlo Rally! Or more precisely, to a drive on part of the legendary original route. On the countless switchbacks up to the Col de Turini, your Porsche will demonstrate all of its impressive power and skill. After arriving at the destination of Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic in Cannes, the next highlight is waiting for you come evening time: On a small yacht, you will cross to Antibes, or more precisely, to the famous Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc. Here, your day, and unfortunately also this Porsche Travel Experience, will come to an end in style – before you head back to Cannes for one final night.

Did you know...? The Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic is situated just a few steps away from the Palais des Festivals in Cannes – and is closely linked to French and international film history. Looking at the the hundreds of black-and-white photographs of the most famous guests who have stayed at the hotel is a wonderfully stylish way to test your own film expertise.

Day 7
Cannes – Nice

The journey ends where it all began 6 action-packed days ago: in the sky. For the big finale, you can once again enjoy incomparable views of the French Riviera from the helicopter on your way back to Nice Airport.

Did you know...? Many great names have left their mark in Cannes, and over 200 actors and directors have done so for eternity by leaving their handprints in the ground on the French Walk of Fame, the ‘Allée des Étoiles’. If you have some time left before returning to Nice, you should not miss the chance to ‘shake hands’ with Meryl Streep, Sylvester Stallone, and countless other legends.
