Your itinerary

Day 1
Milan – Orta San Giulio

Benvenuto in Bella Italia! After touching down in Milan, an airport transfer will take you directly to the exclusive Villa Crespi, located outside the vibrant northern Italian fashion metropolis. The minaret-like tower of the hotel welcomes you from afar. The striking luxury hotel, built in an oriental style, lies on the banks of the picturesque Lago d’Orta. Its tranquil lakeside location makes it a wonderful starting point for your upcoming trip. The official reception here presents the perfect opportunity for you to get to know the other Porsche enthusiasts and share your excitement for the days ahead. A pleasure that is matched by the excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant boasting 2 Michelin stars.

Did you know...? In 1879, the Italian cotton merchant Cristoforo Benigno Crespi built the Moorish-style country estate Villa Crespi, which he named after himself. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, aristocrats, industrialists and the nation’s political elite would meet here. Certainly not by chance, as close by, nestled in the majestic landscape, is one of the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy – the idyllic Orta San Giulio.

Day 2
Orta San Giulio – Zermatt – Andermatt

After a hearty breakfast, it is time to start the engine of your Porsche for the first leg of your driving experience, which will take you towards Zermatt. The Simplon Pass, at an altitude of 2,006 metres, will take you to the home of William Tell. Take your time to savour the spectacular vistas of this impressive mountain setting. Lunch offers the perfect opportunity to do this, thanks to a very special ingredient. A transfer will take you from Täsch to chic, car-free Zermatt, where the Cervo Zermatt garnishes alpine delights with extraordinary views of the Matterhorn. However magnificent the views, Andermatt is now waiting for you. So, it is time for you to get back behind the wheel and drive onwards and upwards to the Nufenen Pass. Against the backdrop of picturesque alpine panoramas, you will scale serpentine roads on to the famous Gotthard Pass, heading towards the high point of today’s drive. With a mix of alpine chic and Asian flair, The Chedi Andermatt hotel brings a touch of the Far East to the Alps. Enjoy an aperitif of exquisite local wines and cheese specialities at the Chef’s Table before your day draws to a close with an equally divine and cosy Swiss dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Did you know...? At an altitude of 2,478 metres, the Nufenen Pass is not only the highest mountain pass located entirely in Switzerland, but also one of the youngest alpine passes overall. It was constructed just 50 years ago and continues on to connect the cantons of Valais and Ticino. While the river Ticino rises in the east, spectacular views of the Bernese Alps and the formidable Gries Glacier spring up in the west.

Day 3
Andermatt – Guttannen – Andermatt

Prepare for extraordinary views – on an intense day of driving with a multitude of alpine passes. In a Porsche, you will scale the Lukmanier Pass, set against a seemingly endless green alpine backdrop. Behind a narrow gorge, an expansive mountain valley suddenly opens up. Time for your first stop of the day – at the 117-metre-high Santa Maria arch dam. This is a unique location to reflect on the monumental fusion of nature and engineering. The drive on to Guttannen is just as impressive. While the southern ramp of the Gotthard Pass adds to the treasure trove of memories with its idyllic panoramas, the Furka and Grimsel passes will be sure to quicken your pulse. After you arrive at Lake Grimsel, follow up your driving fun by indulging your senses – with a delicious lunch and stunning views of the lake, which sits nestled between the mountain sides. The return to Andermatt is topped off with a thrilling drive over the Susten Pass. After all this excitement, you will be glad to have some time to take a breather before dinner.

Did you know...? The Chedi Andermatt is setting new standards for luxury hotels. The outstanding spa area offers deep relaxation of the highest scale – thanks to a comprehensive pampering programme. If you can bear to be away from the wheel for one day, you should take advantage of this opportunity. Or, if you cannot resist the call of the Swiss mountains, you may explore the idyllic setting by bike.

Day 4
Andermatt – Davos – St. Moritz

The Ruinaulta nature park is a true magnum opus created by nature. The narrow road high above the treetops of the nature park will take your breath away with expansive views of the Rhine Gorge and its evergreen coniferous forest. You will immediately realise why this place is often referred to as the Swiss Grand Canyon. Once the monumental landscape gives way to lush pastures and green alpine meadows, Davos cannot be far away. A rustic lunch with homemade specialities at Restaurant Teufi provides you with an authentic setting to reflect on all the impressions of the morning. Your journey then leads on over the Flüela, Fuorn and Bernina passes, featuring countless bends and a world of variety. Soak in the stunning beauty of the Alps with tranquil mountain lakes, deep forests and vast glaciers. The 5-star Suvretta House hotel in chic St. Moritz enjoys a fairy-tale-like backdrop. After a short break, the vintage bus from Suvretta House will take you up high at a relaxed pace – for a cosy cabin evening at Chasellas mountain restaurant.

Did you know...? The Bernina Pass is a true driving highlight for sports car enthusiasts – more challenging, intense and winding than any other mountain pass in Switzerland. And it offers spectacular views. The Bernina railway along the mountain pass is almost always visible from the seat of your Porsche – and is a standout feature in every souvenir photo.

Day 5
St. Moritz – Lago Maggiore – Orta San Giulio

Head back to the road once more. With Villa Crespi in sight as the destination for the day and as the end of your tour, be sure to savour today to the fullest and in all of its glory. Driving through the picturesque Engadin ensures an excellent start to the day. An alpine valley as though designed by an artist and a diverse natural experience for hikers, cyclists and, of course, you and your Porsche. You are expected at Lago Maggiore for lunch, so you drive onwards and upwards along sinuous mountain passes. Once again, you need laser-like focus as you conquer countless metres of asphalt on the challenging ascent of the Maloja Pass, on the switchbacks and hairpin bends of the Splügen Pass, all against the backdrop of the pristine mountain landscape of the San Bernadino Pass. And finally, the deep blue of Lago Maggiore. These majestic views will also enhance your lakeside lunch at Hotel Eden Roc. Refreshed, you can fully savour the last long leg of your drive back to Villa Crespi in Orta San Giulio. Here, you will temporarily leave behind your trusty Porsche to board a wooden boat – embarking on a short trip to the romantic island restaurant of San Giulio, where a delicious farewell dinner serves up the crowning glory of this journey. Buon appetito and cin cin: to a successful journey!

Did you know...? Lago Maggiore is one of Italy’s most famous landmarks and one of the country’s most loved travel destinations. The lake is also a very popular film set. One example that springs to mind is the famous opening sequence of the classic James Bond film ‘Goldeneye’, which was filmed nearby.

Day 6
Orta San Giulio – Milan

Arrivederci and Sali! After breakfast, it is time for you to say goodbye. To stunning Swiss mountains, to thrilling alpine passes and to an unforgettable touch of La Dolce Vita. Your airport transfer will take you to Milan Malpensa Airport in time for your flight home. What a pity that time passes just as quickly here as everywhere else in the world, despite the sense of calm that the Swiss are so renowned for.

Did you know...? If you plan to extend your trip, you should set aside some time for a shopping spree in the fashion metropolis of Milan. The sportiest design trends are on display at the Porsche Studio Milan, which opened in 2018 – featuring the complete Porsche Design collection and the latest Porsche models.
