Driving formats

In future, the Ice Performance, Ice Force, Ice Force Pro and Ice Ultimate formats, which build on each other, will be arranged with attractive content and different focuses on the DISCOVER, LEARN, BOOST and RACE training levels - ideally adapted to your current driving abilities.

In the DISCOVER training level (Ice Performance), you will learn the fundamentals of vehicle control on snow and ice. You’ll gain confidence in braking, accelerating, and drifting on smooth surfaces. Additionally, you’ll develop special driving techniques for winter conditions, experience sports cars equipped with studded tyres, tacke challenging sections, and navigate handing tracks.

After completing the entry level, you can further enhance your basic driving skills and techniques in the LEARN training level (Ice Force). Here, you’ll perfect your driving style on extended handling tracks while receiving theoretical and practical instruction on Porsche Technologies (PTM). You’ll work on load change reactions, lateral acceleration for safe cornering, and utilize all-wheel drive and studded tyres to improve your driving skills.

In the Ice Force Pro format, you’ll master extreme driving situations on forest tracks and long handling trails. You’ll BOOST your driving skills, learn to quickly adapt to different drive concepts and confidently handle various Porsche models on snow and ice. This includes both rear or mid-engine, rear and all-wheel vehicles and you’ll train your vehicle control at high speeds, even in the dark if conditions allow.

For motorsport enthusiasts, the Ice Ultimate format offers the chance to drive Porsche GT racing cars in sideways drift on ice tracks. Certified Porsche instructors will teach you how to control these high-performance vehicles. This format provides a high level of driving experience in small groups, including individual coaching.

Participants in the Porsche Ice Experience can choose to actively take part in the driving or be accompanying persons. Typically, vehicles are occupied by two participants, but you also have the option to book the Single Driver Package, which provides a vehicle exclusively for yourself and comes with a personal instructor based on your experience level.

The maximum number of participants varies depending on the format :

- Ice Performance – 50 participants per wave

- Ice Force – 30 participants, 5 Single Driver with individual coaching per wave

- Ice Force Pro – 30 participants, 5 Single Driver with individual coaching per wave

- Ice Ultimate – 10 participants per wave

Of course! The Porsche Experience Team looks forward to your registration.

For individuals looking to gain their first training experiences on the racetrack, Porsche Track Experience can get started with the half-day Warm-up Training or the one to two-day Precision Training. The entry-level training courses are operated in Germany by the Porsche Experience Centres Leipzig and Hockenheimring since the 2022 season.

Please note that participation in a training special does not count as qualification for entry into a higher training level.

General information

Due to the international character of the events and for safety reasons, German and English are the event languages. The reason for this is that every participant can follow the instructions of the instructors and safety personnel. In the case that one of the participants in the respective group speaks and understands English exclusively, the event language for that group will be English exclusively.

The Porsche Track Experience team will do their utmost to take your wishes into account when allocating groups. Please share your grouping wishes with us when making your booking. Nevertheless, the planning of the groups in advance remains a theoretical matter and cannot fit 100% in every case. The preffered language, the vehicle and the experience of each individual are decisive factors in the grouping process. Even though it is only possible to change groups on site to a limited extent, we ask you to always ask the instructors and/or the project leader on site about a change if you are in a group that is not suitable for you. This is the only way we can react in a timely manner.

Approximately one week before the start of the event, we will invite you by email to perform a digital check-in. This will save you time on the morning of the (first) driving day. We ask you to confirm the following documents digitally:

- Vehicle rental contract (obligatory for participants with a Porsche rental vehicle)

- Data usage form (voluntary)

- Picture and video permission (voluntary)

If you have not checked in in advance, you can do so on site in the morning.

Regardless of the check-in, we ask each driver to the reception for a driving licence check and handover of the welcome package before the start of the driving programme.

The Porsche Track Experience team will inform you of the general requirements of passport and visa regulations of the country of destination prior to conclusion of the contract and of any changes to these before the start of the journey. You are responsible for obtaining and carrying the travel documents required by the authorities, any vaccinations required and for complying with customs and foreign exchange regulations.

Each participant has the possibility to register accompanying persons for an event. Accompanying persons who are at least 16 years of age at the time of the event and, if applicable, can provide their identity with a valid passport on site, may be in the pits or in the pit lane at their own risk and may participate as passengers - provided that the regulations of the respective racetrack permit this. These regulations can be requested in advance from Manthey Racing GmbH. Accompanying persons under the age of 16 are only allowed in the paddock and hospitality. Supervision of the accompanying person by Manthey Racing GmbH employees is not possible. The accompanying person must sign a separate liability release declaration, which can be requested from the tour operator. Travel to and from a Porsche Track Experience event is at the participant's own responsibility and expense. There are various options depending on the destination. If you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the Porsche Track Experience team.

Even in less than ideal weather conditions, the Porsche Track Experience's driving safety training courses are held and adapted to the conditions. Yes, provided the vehicle (Porsche model or another brand) has statutory third-party vehicle insurance and complies with the German road traffic licensing regulations (StVZO). Please refer to the terms and conditions for further details. In order to achieve maximum learning success, the Porsche Track Experience team recommends that participants use their own vehicle. The Porsche Track Experience team also recommends that, prior to the event, participants check with their vehicle insurer to ensure the validity of their third-party vehicle insurance and, if applicable, their fully comprehensive insurance cover in relation to any participation in a Porsche Track Experience driver training event. Furthermore, if participants are using their own vehicle, they are requested to have the condition of the vehicle checked in a Porsche Service Centre prior to the event (e.g. oil level, tyre tread depth, brake pads). Your Porsche Centre will be happy to assist with any technical questions. Following random checking, we reserve the right to exclude vehicles with technical defects. No standard servicing can be carried out locally at the event and the participation fee cannot be refunded.

Exceptions: Hired Porsche vehicles are provided for the Warm-up, Track Icons, g-Force GT, Master Racecar and Rennsport Academy training courses. Unfortunately, it is not possible to participate in these training formats using a privately owned vehicle.

For participation in your own race car during the GT Trackday Racecar, please also refer to the General Terms and Conditions.

The training objectives and general terms and conditions of the Porsche Track Experience expressly state that the driving safety courses are not intended to achieve top speeds. The aim is to improve the driving skills and safety of the participants in order to ensure greater safety in everyday traffic and thus contribute to an improvement in the general accident record. The Porsche Track Experience recommends that you clarify the existence of motor vehicle liability and, if applicable, comprehensive insurance cover with the respective motor vehicle insurer before the start of the event.

Supplementary insurance is not offered by the organiser. If required, the Porsche Track Experience team recommends that you check potential supplementary insurance quotes on the market.

As part of the Porsche Track Experience, the latest Porsche models can be rented for a fee for the entire duration of the event (varies according to training format). A separate vehicle rental contract must be signed for this purpose. Depending on availability, a choice can be made between different Porsche models - there is no entitlement to a specific Porsche brand rental vehicle. The rented Porsche vehicles are only for use on the respective racetrack, it is not permitted to drive with these vehicles on the public road.

If a vehicle is additionally rented for a Porsche Track Experience training programme, an additional vehicle rental fee will apply. Exceptions: For the Warm-up, Track Icons, g-Force GT, Master Racecar and the Rennsport Academy, the participation fee includes the use of the vehicles provided for the training.

You can rent various Porsche models for our events depending on availability and training format. You will find an individual overview of the Porsche models available for a particular training course on the details page of each event. Vehicle availability is limited, so changes at short notice are only possible to a limited extent.

Yes, the same age restriction applies as for participation in the training courses (a minimum age of 18/valid driving licence).

In principle, this is not possible as the hire contract applies to the respective vehicle. An exception to this are events with an included rental vehicle, e.g. Warm-Up Training, Track Icons or g-Force GT: In these event formats, the rental contract applies to all vehicles used in these training sessions, i.e. the vehicles can be swapped.
