Training programme

The driver training courses of the Porsche Track Experience are structured into progressive training levels (Precision -> Performance -> Master/Master GT3 RS -> Master Racecar -> Rennsport Academy -> Rennsport Season). Alongside these, a wide variety of specialised formats are available, including Discover, Discover Intensive, g-Force GT, Track Icons, GT Trackday, and GT Trackday Racecar.

Since the 2022 season, the Discover, Precision, and Performance training formats have been conducted in Germany by the Porsche Experience Center Leipzig and the Porsche Experience Center Hockenheimring. All details regarding these events can be found on the respective Porsche Experience Center websites. Should you have any questions, the teams will be happy to assist you.

For an introduction to the Porsche brand and the opportunity to test several models on the racetrack, the Track Icons format is an ideal starting point.

Those who would like to gain their first training experience on the racetrack can begin with the Porsche Track Experience through the half-day Discover or the one to two-day Precision training. Since the 2022 season, these introductory trainings in Germany have been conducted by the Porsche Experience Centers Leipzig and Hockenheimring.

Please note that participation in a Training Special does not qualify as entry into a higher training level.

If you have already completed driver safety trainings with other providers that cover the training content required by the Porsche Track Experience, and can provide appropriate proof of participation, a direct entry into a higher level may be possible after the documents have been reviewed.

By taking part in the Performance training at one of the two Porsche Experience Centers, you will obtain the qualification for the Master training.

General information

Due to the international nature of the events and for safety reasons, ensuring that every participant can follow the instructions of the instructors and safety personnel, the event languages are German and English. If any participant in the respective group speaks and understands only English, the event will be conducted exclusively in English.

The Porsche Track Experience will make every effort to take your preferences into account when assigning groups. Please let us know your wishes when making your booking. However, group planning in advance is a theoretical process and may not always be a perfect match. The decisive factors are language, vehicle, and individual experience. Although group changes on site are only possible to a limited extent, we kindly ask you to speak to the instructors and/or the project manager on site if you find yourself in a group that does not suit you. This is the only way we can respond in good time.

Approximately one week before the start of the event, we will invite you by e-mail to complete the digital check-in. This will save you time on the morning of the (first) driving day. Please confirm the following documents digitally:

- waiver of liability of the Porsche Experience and, where applicable, of the racetrack (mandatory)
- vehicle rental agreement (mandatory for participants with a Porsche rental car)
- data use form (mandatory)
- photo and video consent (voluntary)

If you have not completed the check-in in advance, you can also do this on site in the morning.
Regardless of the check-in, we ask every driver to present their driving licence again for inspection before the start of the driving programme.

The Porsche Track Experience team will inform you of the general passport and visa requirements of the destination country before the conclusion of the contract, as well as of any possible changes before the start of the journey. You are responsible for obtaining and carrying the officially required travel documents, any necessary vaccinations, and for complying with customs and foreign exchange regulations.

Your choice of clothing should depend on the weather conditions at the event location. In general, comfortable clothing is recommended. For drivers, closed, sporty footwear is required. Shoes with heels, sandals, or flip-flops are not permitted. In summer, a hat or cap and sunscreen are recommended if necessary. Further clothing information can be found in the detailed documents that will be sent to you by the project team prior to the event.

Each participant has the option to register accompanying persons for an event. Accompanying persons who are at least 16 years of age at the time of the event and can present a valid identity card or passport on site may, at their own risk, remain in the pit or pit lane area and participate as passengers – provided that the regulations of the respective racetrack allow this. These regulations can be obtained in advance from Manthey Racing GmbH.

Accompanying persons under the age of 16 are only permitted in the paddock and hospitality areas. Supervision of accompanying persons by employees of Manthey Racing GmbH is not possible. The accompanying person must sign a separate declaration of waiver of liability, which can be requested from the tour operator. In the case of underage accompanying persons, the declaration of waiver must be signed by their legal guardians.

Arrival and departure for a Porsche Track Experience event are at your own responsibility and expense. Depending on the destination, various options are available. Should you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the Porsche Track Experience team.

In the event of exceptional weather conditions, official orders, or for safety and other important reasons that could not be foreseen at the time of contract conclusion, the tour operator is entitled to adapt the driver trainings to the changed conditions (e.g. by modifying the use of vehicle models, tyres, or section selection) in order to ensure the safety of the participants. These adjustments will not affect the agreed travel price as long as they do not result in a significant change to the booked event.

The number of participants varies depending on the training and can be obtained from the Porsche Track Experience team. In addition, the maximum number of participants is indicated in the detailed description of each event on the website.

Wearing a helmet is mandatory during “open driving” sessions (and, depending on the racetrack, may also be required during “guided driving”). You are welcome to use your own helmet. The use of a HANS system is mandatory when using the 6-point harness during “open driving”. The organiser provides a limited number and range of sizes of helmets and HANS systems. Reservations are not possible.

Racing suits are required only for the Master Racecar, the Rennsport Academy, and the GT Trackday Racecar events, and are available for loan for these formats. A size request will be made in advance. For all other Porsche Track Experience driver training events, racing suits are not required and therefore not included in the offer.

Yes, provided that the vehicle (Porsche model or other make) has valid statutory motor vehicle liability insurance and meets the requirements of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations. For details, please refer to the General Terms and Conditions. To achieve the best possible learning outcome, the Porsche Track Experience team recommends participating with your own vehicle. The team also advises you to clarify with your car insurer prior to the event whether your vehicle’s liability insurance and, if applicable, comprehensive insurance cover participation in a Porsche Track Experience driver training. In addition, please have your vehicle checked at a Porsche Service Center before the event (oil level, tyre tread depth, brake pads, etc.). If you have any technical questions, your Porsche Center will be happy to assist. Following random inspections, we reserve the right to exclude vehicles with technical defects. On-site servicing according to the service booklet cannot be carried out, and the participation fee cannot be refunded.

Exceptions: For Track Icons, g-Force GT, Master Racecar, and Rennsport Academy, Porsche rental vehicles are provided. Participation with a private vehicle is unfortunately not possible for these training formats.

For participation with your own racecar during the GT Trackday Racecar, please also refer to the T&C.

The training objectives and General Terms and Conditions of the Porsche Track Experience expressly state that the driver training courses are not intended for achieving maximum speeds. The goal is to enhance participants’ driving skills and safety, thereby promoting greater safety in everyday road traffic and contributing to the overall reduction of accidents. The Porsche Track Experience recommends clarifying with your vehicle insurer before the start of the event whether your motor vehicle liability insurance and, if applicable, comprehensive insurance cover participation in the training.

No additional insurance is offered by the organiser. If required, the Porsche Track Experience team recommends reviewing possible supplementary insurance options available on the market.

As part of the Porsche Track Experience, the latest Porsche models can be rented for the entire duration of the event for a fee (varies depending on the training format). A separate vehicle rental agreement must be signed for this purpose. Depending on availability, different Porsche models may be selected; however, there is no entitlement to a specific Porsche rental vehicle. The rented Porsche vehicles are permitted for use exclusively on the respective racetrack and may not be driven on public roads.

If a vehicle is rented for a Porsche Track Experience training, an additional vehicle rental fee will apply.

Exceptions: For Track Icons, g-Force GT, Master Racecar, and the Rennsport Academy, the participation fee includes the use of the vehicles provided for the training.

For our events, you can rent various Porsche models depending on availability and training format. An individual overview of the Porsche models available for a specific training can be found on the detail page of each event. Vehicle availability is limited; therefore, short-term changes are only possible to a limited extent.

Yes, the same age restriction applies as for participation in the trainings (minimum age 18 years/valid driving licence).

In principle, this is not possible, as the rental agreement applies to the specific vehicle. An exception applies to events that include a rental vehicle, such as Track Icons or g-Force GT: for these formats, the rental agreement covers all vehicles used during the training, meaning that vehicles may be exchanged.

The following payment options are generally available:

– Payment by credit card
