Your experience in detail.
Day 1

Ljubljana Airport, Ljubljana old town: love at first sight.

Your arrival at Ljubljana Airport will mark the beginning of a sustainable experience in a class of its own. Your carefully curated journey of discovery will commence with your transfer to the enchanting “Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel”. Nestling in the heart of Ljubljana’s picturesque old town, this hotel is near the gently-flowing River Ljubljanica, and offers views of the Slovenian capital’s most famous landmark, Ljubljana Castle. You’ll feel right at home the moment you step into your hotel room.

The lovingly restored 16th-century building houses 15 rooms, each as charming as the next and stylishly furnished. No 2 rooms are alike; each invites you to dream in its own unique way. But it’s best to keep your eyes open – there’s so much to discover.

After a refreshing welcome drink at the hotel, a delectable local dinner awaits you at a nearby restaurant. Inspired by the tranquil old town, you’ll savour the growing anticipation for your first day behind the wheel. Welcome to Slovenia!

Day 2

Ljubljana, Piran Bay, Lipica, Kobdilj: seaside serenity. High-octane thrills. Rustic charm.

Today, your experience will truly take off. The Adriatic Sea beckons. Leaving Ljubljana behind in the rear-view mirror of your fully-charged Macan, you will head towards the Mediterranean coast. Enjoy pure e-performance along one of the most beautiful motorway routes. In the Bay of Piran, you will transition from asphalt to water with a boat tour to the Fonda Fish Farm – Slovenia’s sustainable sea fish farm. Culinary samples and insights into the family’s history are included.

Continue with electrifying ease along winding scenic roads northward along the coast. Next stop: Lipica – home to the world’s oldest and largest Lipica Stud Farm, established in 1580. It’s the cradle of horse breeding traditions recognised by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. After a delightful picnic, you will have an opportunity to meet the riders and horses on a guided tour. The crowning glory of this stop is a romantic carriage ride.

Then it is back to being powered by over 400 horsepower as you drive along dreamlike roads through Slovenia’s wild, romantic Karst Plateau towards “Villa Fabiani”. Once the home of the architect Max Fabiani, today it is a sustainably run, family-owned gem with its own fruit, vegetable and wine production. The villa is one of the most important cultural monuments in the country, and its historic gardens are home to the oldest fruit tree in Slovenia – a centuries-old mulberry tree.

Reflect on the day’s adventures and delve into the Porsche history of the villa’s owners over a family-style dinner, accompanied by wine from their own vineyard. You are in for a treat!

Day 3

Kobdilj, Solkan, Kanal ob Soči, Bohinj: from “Slovenian Tuscany” to Triglav National Park.

After a sumptuous breakfast, your all-electric adventure will continue. Set off in your Macan towards Solkan, a charming town on the Italian border, passing the world’s largest brick railway arch bridge. Here, you will gain exclusive behind-the-scenes access to a pioneering sustainability location as you experience Slovenia’s electrifying spirit of innovation.

Back in your Macan, the picturesque region of Brda – affectionately known as the “Slovenian Tuscany” – will unfold through your windscreen. This enchanting landscape of rolling hills, lush vineyards, olive groves and orchards is just a stone’s throw from Italy. Indulge in a delightful lunch of local specialities amidst this idyllic setting, savouring the flavours of the land. Shortly afterwards, you will reach one of Europe’s most stunning river landscapes: the romantic Soča Valley, a truly magical natural spectacle.

The day’s final leg will invite you to enjoy an exhilarating drive along winding roads leading into the heart of Triglav National Park. Your destination is Lake Bohinj, where you will check into “Hotel Bohinj” – a haven of sustainable tourism at its finest. Nestled between the tranquil waters of the lake and the majestic peaks of the Triglav mountain range, you will enjoy 2 nights in this fairy-tale setting, finding harmony with nature and with yourself. Dine at the exquisite restaurant at fascinating "Vila Muhr", just a few steps from the "Hotel Bohinj". Once the residence of royalty and reopened in 2024, it will perfectly complement your day’s adventures.

Day 4

Bohinj, Kobarid, Bohinj: motoring delights and culinary heights.

Embark on a spectacular journey through the breathtaking Triglav National Park. The foothills of the Julian Alps promise driving exhilaration to the max, especially when conquering the "Vršič Pass" – Slovenia’s highest and most impressive mountain pass, boasting over 50 thrilling hairpin bends.

After this adrenaline-fuelled drive, prepare for a culinary summit at the renowned “Hiša Franko” in Kobarid. Since 2017, this esteemed restaurant has been celebrated as one of the world’s top 50 gourmet destinations. Here, Ana Roš delights guests with sophisticated and authentic regional cuisine. Next, the "Solčava panoramic road" beckons with its awe-inspiring vistas. This entire region is a feast for the eyes, with unspoilt nature stretching as far as the eye can see. Another mountain pass with exhilarating hairpin bends will briefly take you into Austria’s borderlands, revealing new and exciting views at every turn.

Pause for a lunch break in the enchanting Logar Valley, one of Europe’s most beautiful alpine valleys, encircled by the towering peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. This untouched hiking paradise is rich with natural wonders, including the majestic 90-metre-tall Rinka Waterfall. Enjoy a hearty regional meal at a cosy local inn as you take in the serene surroundings.

The last leg of your journey will meander along panoramic roads beside the picturesque Sava River.
